TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Wireless Communications Systems Performance in Noise and Interference-Limited Situations Part 2: Propagation and Noise

Arlington, VA (October 25, 2019) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.18 Engineering Committee on Wireless Systems Compatibility – Interference and Coverage has issued a call for interest for document TSB-88.2-F initially titled Wireless Communications Systems Performance in Noise and Interference-Limited Situations Part 2: Propagation and Noise.

TR-8.18 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: ” The Wireless Communications Systems Performance in Noise and Interference-Limited Situations Part 2 addresses propagation and noise issues within the context of defining and advancing scientifically sound methodologies for addressing technology compatibility.”

The stakeholders may include but are not limited to Private Land Mobile Radio, APCO Project 25, Land Mobile Communications Council (LMCC), National Coordination Committee (NCC).

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
