(October 21, 2019) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.12 Engineering Committee on Optical Fibers and Cables has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-455-191-C titled Adoption of IEC-60793-1-45 Optical Fibres-Part 1-45: Measurement Methods and Test Procedures- Mode Field Diameter as TIA-455-191 (FOTP- 191).
TR-42.12 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: “The current version of this document references an IEC version with errors. The most recent version of the IEC document addressees these errors, but we have not yet adopted the newest version.”
The stakeholders may include but are not limited to the Manufacturing and end-users of optical fiber.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
