TIA’s TR-8 Standards Committee Issues Call for Interest on new Projects for Trunking Control Channel Messages and Remotely Activated Emergency
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.
Arlington VA. (May 09, 2023) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.10 Engineering Committee on Trunking and Conventional Control has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-102.AABC-E-1 initially titled “Trunking Control Channel Messages- Addendum 1” in the area defined by the following scope: “The main scope of this addendum proposes a more flexible use of the abbreviated format of the Status Update Request over the air message”; as well as for document TIA-102.AABC-E-2 initially titled ” Trunking Control Channel Messages – Addendum 2 – Remotely Activated Emergency” defined by the following scope: ” To specify Bit3 of the emergency alarm request message as the Remotely Activated Emergency flag.”
The stakeholders may include but are not limited to: Users and manufacturers of P25 equipment.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
