TIA Issues Amendment to Balun Requirement for Category 8 Testing
Arlington, VA (April 29, 2019) – The Telecommunications Industry Association’s (TIA) TR-42 Telecommunications Cabling Systems Engineering Committee has a new document on balun requirements and specifications and seeks participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
The TR- 42.7 Engineering Subcommittee on Copper Cabling Systems (568) has released TIA-568.2-D-1 Balun Requirements for Category 8 Testing. This new document is an amendment to require balun specifications used for testing Category 8 cabling and components described in ANSI/TIA-568.2-D. To learn more about ANSI/TIA-568.2-D, click here.
