TIA Issues a Recirculation Ballot for Balanced Single Twisted-Pair Telecommunications Cabling and Components Standard Addendum 1 Corrections
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation
Arlington VA. (December 15, 2023) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.7 Engineering Committee on Telecommunications Copper Cabling Systems has issued a recirculation ballot for document TIA-568.5-1 initially titled ” Balanced Single Twisted-Pair Telecommunications Cabling and Components Standard Addendum 1 Corrections “.
TR-42.7 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: This addendum will correct the error of the incompatibility between the channel and cable PSAFEXT specifications and correct any other errors that may be found. The scope may include the addition of a test method for UTP 1-pr cable. (Additions of features and classes will not be included in the scope).
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: All users and manufacturers of telecommunications cabling systems.
TIA is actively seeking participation in this process from the user and general interest communities.
