TIA Issues Call for Interest on New Project For FOTP-81 Compound Flow (Drip) Test for Filled Fiber Optic Cable
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation
Arlington VA. (December 15, 2023) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.12 Engineering Committee on Optical Fibers and Cables has issued a call for interest for document TIA-455-81-C initially titled “FOTP-81 Compound Flow (Drip) Test for Filled Fiber Optic Cable “.
TR-42.12 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: This document is a revision of TIA-455-81-B and the creation as a new American National Standard.
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: telecom, optical fiber manufacturers, optical cable manufactures, developers, users.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
