TIA Publishes New Standards- ANSI/TIA-455-3-C and ANSI/TIA-455-203-B
Arlington VA (October 30, 2024) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released two new documents, ANSI/TIA-455-3-C, FOTP-3 Procedure to Measure Temperature Cycling Effects on Optical Fiber Units, Optical Cable, and Other Passive Fiber Optic Components. ANSI/TIA-455-203-B, FOTP-203 IEC61280-1-4 Fiber Optic Communication Subsystem Test Procedures- Part 1-4: General Communication Subsystems- Light Source Encircled Flux Measurement Method
ANSI/TIA-455-3-C revises TIA-455-3-B to 1: Harmonize rate of temperature change with IEC 60794-1-22, Method F1, 2: Harmonize temperature precision with IEC 60794 1-22, Method F1.
ANSI/TIA-455-203-B Adopts IEC-61280-1-4 Fiber Optic Communication Subsystem Test Procedures – Part 1-4: General Communication Subsystems – Light Source Encircled Flux Measurement Method.
