TIA Publishes New Addendum TIA-4950-B-1-Requirements for Battery-Powered, Portable Land Mobile Radio Applications in Class I, II, and III, Division 1, Hazardous (Classified) Locations- Addendum 1
Arlington VA (May 10, 2024) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, TIA-4950-B-1, Requirements for Battery-Powered, Portable Land Mobile Radio Applications in Class I, II, and III, Division 1, Hazardous (Classified) Locations- Addendum 1.
TIA-4950-B-1 implements agreements which were not ready in time during the drafting of the TIA-4950-B revision and was developed by the TR-8.21 Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Intrinsic Safety (IS) Consideration subcommittee.
