Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation
Arlington VA. (January 04, 2021) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.11 Engineering Committee on Optical Fiber Systems (568) has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-526-28 initially titled ” Fibre-Optic Communication Subsystem Test Procedures – Part 4-5: Installed Cabling Plant – Attenuation Measurement of MPO Terminated Fibre Optic Cabling Plant using Test Equipment with MPO Interfaces “. TR-42.11 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: ” Adopt IEC 61280-4-5: 2020 as a new ANSI/TIA 526 document.”
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: TR-42.1, TR-42.11, TR-42.13, IEC 86B, IEC 86C, ISO/IEC/JTC1/SC25/WG3, end-users, installers, designers of optical fiber cabling systems.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
