TIA Issues Call for Interest on New Project For Adoption of IEC 61755-3-31: Fiber optic interconnecting devices and passive components – Connector optical interfaces – Part 3-31: Connector parameters of non-dispersion shifted single mode physically contacting fibers – Angled polyphenylene sulphide rectangular ferrules
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation
Arlington VA. (October 6, 2023) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.13 Engineering Committee on Passive Optical Devices and Fiber Optic Metrology has issued a call for interest for document TIA-623.31 initially titled “Adoption of IEC 61755-3-31: Fiber optic interconnecting devices and passive components – Connector optical interfaces – Part 3-31: Connector parameters of non-dispersion shifted single mode physically contacting fibers – Angled polyphenylene sulphide rectangular ferrules”.
TR-42.13 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: This document is an adoption of IEC 61755-3-31: Fiber optic interconnecting devices and passive components – Connector optical interfaces – Part 3-31: Connector parameters of non-dispersion shifted single mode physically contacting fibers – Angled polyphenylene sulphide rectangular ferrules as ANSI/TIA 623.31.
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Fiberoptic telecom, TIA 42.13.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
