TIA Issues a Recirculation Ballot for Application Channel Attenuation and Supportable Distances
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.
Arlington VA. (February 26, 2024) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.1 Engineering Committee on Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure has issued a recirculation ballot for document TSB-6000 initially titled ” Application Channel Attenuation and Supportable Distances”.
TR-42.1 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: This document will list the communication protocol applications that are supported by the various copper and fiber systems specified in the ANSI/TIA-568 series of standards.
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: IEEE, Fiber Channel, ITU, end users, customers, installers, consultants.
TIA is actively seeking participation in this process from the user and general interest communities.
