TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for FOTP-204 Measurement of Bandwidth on Multimode Fiber

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (March 03, 2021) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.12 Engineering Committee on Optical Fibers and Cables has issued a call for interest for document TIA-455-204-A initially titled “FOTP-204 Measurement of Bandwidth on Multimode Fiber”. TR-42.12 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: “Reaffirm TIA-455-204-A-2013, which is the adoption of the current IEC 60793-1-41, rev 3.0, 2010.”

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Manufacturing and end users of optical fiber.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
