TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for FOTP-133 IEC-60793-1-22-Optical Fibres- Part 1-22: Measurement Methods and Test Procedures- Length Measurement

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington, VA. (March 02, 2021) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.12 Engineering Committee on Optical Fibers and Cables has issued a call for interest for document TIA-455-133-B initially titled ” FOTP-133 IEC-60793-1-22-Optical Fibres- Part 1-22: Measurement Methods and Test Procedures- Length Measurement “. TR-42.12 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: “This part of the IEC 60793 establishes uniform requirements for measuring the length and elongation of optical fibre (typically within cable).”

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Manufacturers and users of telecom and datacom.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
