TIA Applauds Senate Confirmation of David Redl to Head NTIA

ARLINGTON, VA (November 8, 2017) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today released the following statement after the Senate confirmed David Redl as Administrator at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).

“TIA applauds the Senate for confirming David Redl to head the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. NTIA plays a vital role managing U.S. federal spectrum policy, promoting the Internet of Things, supporting broadband deployment and the implementation of FirstNet, and coordinating telecommunications policy across the federal government. Having a new NTIA Administrator will ensure that NTIA can continue to carry out its important functions, many of which are of great importance to the U.S. information & communications technology industry.”
