TR-8.18 Wireless Systems Compatibility – Interference and Coverage

Definition of terms and methodology for the modeling, simulation, and empirical performance verification of land mobile radio systems. Recommend methods for predicting interoperability between systems of both identical and different modulation techniques.

Include consideration of the prediction and measurement of radiowave propagation; the measurement and application of environment noise; the effects of frequency stability; the characteristics of antenna system components; and the characteristics of transmitters and receivers.

This subcommittee’s scope excludes subject areas that fall within the scope of other TR-8 sub-committees.
