TIA issues New IEC 61755-2-4 -Fibre Optic Interconnecting Devices and Passive Components – Connector Optical Interfaces – Part 2-4
Connection parameters of Non-dispersion Shifted Single-mode Physically Contacting Fibres – Non-angled for Reference Connection Applications Standard
Arlington, VA (June 7, 2023) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, TIA-622.4, IEC 61755-2-4 -Fiber Optic Interconnecting Devices and Passive Components – Connector Optical Interfaces – Part 2-4: Connection parameters of Non-dispersion Shifted Single-mode Physically Contacting Fibers – Non-angled for Reference Connection Applications.
TIA-622.4 is an adoption of IEC 61755-2-4 -Fiber Optic Interconnecting Devices and Passive Components – Connector Optical Interfaces – Part 2-4: Connection Parameters of Non-dispersion Shifted Single-mode Physically Contacting Fibers – Non-angled for Reference Connection Applications as ANSI/TIA 622.4.
TIA-622.4 was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-42.13 Passive Optical Devices and Fiber Optic Metrology.
