TIA Issues Call for Interest on New Project For Wireless Communications Systems Performance in Noise and Interference-Limited Situations Part 2: Propagation and Noise

Arlington VA (March 19, 2026) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.18 Engineering Committee on Wireless Systems Compatibility- Interference and Coverage has issued a call for interest for document TSB-88.2-H, initially titled “Wireless Communications Systems Performance in Noise and Interference-Limited Situations Part 2: Propagation and Noise”.

TR-8.18 is updating text of TSB-88.2-G to include material on DSM and LiDAR, Indoor Fading Profiles, and Machine Learning.

Stakeholders are invited to contact TIA regarding participation in the development of this and other TIA standards. The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Manufacturers, consultants, and users of Private Land Mobile Radio systems.

TIA is actively seeking participation in this process from the user and general interest communities.
