TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Packet Data Host Network Interface
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation
Arlington, VA (June 27, 2018) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.5 Engineering Committee on Signaling and Data Transmission has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-102.BAEF-A initially titled “Packet Data Host Network Interface.” TR-8.5 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: This document specifies the protocols utilized on the Packet Data Host Network Interface which is designated as the Ed Interface in the TIA-102 Open System Interface Model. The information necessary to enable interoperable services and functionality on this interface is provided in this document or referenced in other documents as appropriate. The purpose of this revision is to address errata comments on the current published document.
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: APCO Project 25 and Private Land Mobile Radio.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
