TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Mobile Data Peripheral Interface
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation
Arlington, VA (January 31, 2018) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.5 Engineering Committee on Signaling and Data Transmission has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-102.BAEG-A initially titled “Mobile Data Peripheral Interface” TR-8.5 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: “The Mobile Data Peripheral Interface specifies the protocols utilized on the interface between the Subscriber Unit and the Mobile Data Peripheral. The information necessary to enable interoperable services and functionality on this interface is provided in this document or referenced in other documents as appropriate.”
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: APCO Project 25 and Private Land Mobile Radio.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
