TIA Congratulates Jamieson Greer on Confirmation

Arlington, VA (February 26, 2025) – The Telecommunications Industry Association – the trusted industry association for the connected world – released the following statement from TIA’s CEO Dave Stehlin:

“TIA congratulates Jamieson Greer on his Senate confirmation to lead the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR). We look forward to working with the Ambassador and his office to address unfair trading practices, ensure open markets for U.S. goods and services, and eliminate technical barriers to trade.

We also encourage the Ambassador to maintain a strong dialogue with industry to ensure that any new tariffs do not increase consumer prices, disadvantage U.S. manufacturing by making it more costly to build here, or stifle innovation. Where possible, tariffs should rely on careful economic analysis and be used strategically to meet well-defined negotiating goals.”
