Arlington, VA (May 17, 2019) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today applauded the news that the FCC’s Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee (BDAC) has been rechartered. Dileep Srihari, TIA’s Senior Policy Counsel and Director, Government Affairs, has been appointed as a member of the BDAC.
TIA Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Cinnamon Rogers, issued the following statement:
“TIA applauds Chairman Pai for rechartering the Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee. Finding ways to promote broadband and remove barriers to deployment remain key issues as the United States seeks to close the digital divide, strengthen the innovation economy, and keep pace in the global race to 5G. We are very pleased that TIA has been appointed to the re-chartered BDAC and we look forward to contributing to its work in the months and years ahead.”
