Course Details

Our Underground Utility Technician program provides comprehensive instruction in the installation, maintenance, locating, and repair of underground telecommunications utility systems. This program will cover all essential skills such as safety, blueprint reading, fiber optic installation, splicing, equipment operation, site excavation and restoration practices, plowing, horizontal directional drilling, mixing systems, drill locating, creating bore plans, conduit/duct bank installation, manhole/hand hole installation, backfill, compaction, and finish grading operations. Students will learn the essential skills necessary to navigate and work effectively within subsurface infrastructure.
