Course Details
The Introduction to Fiber Splicing course is designed and delivered by industry professionals to provide course graduates with the technical skills to be successful underground and/or aerial fiber splicer. Course covers aerial and underground fiber splicing concepts including bucket truck and ladder safety. Curriculum spans from tools and terminology to hands-on classroom and field instruction. This course includes the Fiber Optic Association Certified Fiber Optic Technician certification upon successful completion of the exam.
The introduction to Outside Plant (OSP) course is designed to provide individuals with little to no experience in the telecommunication construction industry with outside plant construction technical education and hands-on training. Program graduates can progress overtime from an entry level “green hat” to a fully functioning lineman. Industry professionals use proven training methods and a comprehensive curriculum to prepare program graduates for a telecommunications construction career pathway.
