For installation and service personnel, this comprehensive training provides hands-on experience and knowledge of singlemode and multi-mode fiber optics. Proper installation and handling of fiber optic cables, Construction of a functional fiber optic link, Connector and mechanical splice installation, Optical loss testing of completed fiber links,
Troubleshooting of common fiber optic problems, This course is practical training that will completely prepare the technician for field work with fiber optics. Videos and instructional slides provide a complete educational experience.

After completing the online training and hands-on classroom work, technicians will take the Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) test from the Fiber Optic Association to receive certification.
