Virtual 2-day event will cover topics including new technology and network rollouts, regulatory insights and building trust throughout global supply chain
Arlington, VA (May 10, 2021) – The Telecommunications Industry Association—the trusted industry association for the connected world—announced it will host its 2021 Global Member Meeting on June 22-23 and features leading speakers from government and industry who will discuss the information and communications technology (ICT) sector’s most critical issues and opportunities.
Kicking off with opening remarks from TIA CEO Dave Stehlin and Fujitsu Network Communications President and CEO and TIA Board Chairman, Doug Moore, the meeting will feature important sessions with insights from U.S. Senator Ben Luján, Verizon CTO Kyle Malady, FCC Commissioners Geoffrey Starks and Nathan Simington, and AT&T EVP of Global Connections and Supply Chain, Susan Johnson, among many more.
The agenda includes keynote sessions, 1-on-1 interviews and panel discussions with business executives, technology experts and policy leaders that will explore a wide range of ICT-related topics and issues including accelerating access to broadband and how to prepare for the network technology of the future.
“This is a critical time for the global ICT industry on multiple fronts, from regulatory issues and new standards to rapidly evolving technology and security threats,” said David Stehlin, CEO of TIA. “We felt it was very important for our members to have the opportunity to come together virtually to share ideas around common challenges and solutions, especially in the wake of a global pandemic. The conversations at our member meeting will help move the industry forward to a more sustainable and trusted connected future.”
The meeting is free for Full TIA Member organizations and $99 for those who participate in a TIA standards committee, technology program or QuEST Forum workgroup. Anyone interested in attending as a guest or exploring TIA membership options can send an email to membership@tiaonline.org.
