TIA-942 Auditors, Training and Consultants

ANSI/TIA-942 Auditors, Training Providers and Consultants

ANSI/TIA-942 certification depends on qualified trainers, consultants, designers, and auditors who ensure data center infrastructure meets the requirements of the standard. These professionals are essential to ensuring data centers are designed, built, and assessed against globally recognized criteria for reliability, resilience, and performance.

Certification Auditors & Licensed Bodies

Auditing is required for data centers seeking certification under the TIA-942 Certification Program. To be eligible for certification display on the TIA website, all audits must be performed by a TIA-licensed Certification Body (CB).

TIA-licensed CB organizations help ensure consistent, credible, and standards-aligned certification outcomes across the global data center industry.

Role and Requirements of Licensed Certification Bodies

TIA-licensed Certification Bodies support the integrity of the certification process by ensuring:

  • Independent qualification and oversight prior to licensing
Organizations undergo a review process before receiving a license from TIA.
  • Alignment with ISO audit frameworks
CBs are required to follow established ISO audit policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Competent and qualified audit personnel
Organizations must confirm that auditors are trained, experienced, and knowledgeable in both the ANSI/TIA-942 standard and relevant ISO requirements.
  • Ongoing technical engagement with TIA
Licensed CBs are required to participate in TIA Engineering Committee activities to stay current with updates to industry practices and the ANSI/TIA-942 standard.

Important Note on Auditor Eligibility

Individual auditors are not permitted to operate independently. All auditors must be formally affiliated with and operate under a TIA-licensed Certification Body in order to provide valid ANSI/TIA-942 auditing and certification services.

The TIA-942 Licensed CB are:
