TIA Publishes New Standards- ANSI/TIA-568.2-E and ANSI/TIA-568.5-1
Arlington VA (November 5, 2024) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released two new documents, ANSI/TIA-568.2-E, Balanced Twisted-Pair Telecommunications Cabling and Components Standard and ANSI/TIA-568.5-1, Balanced Twisted-Pair Telecommunications Cabling and Components Standard- Addendum 1: Technical Corrections to Transmission Requirements.
ANSI/TIA-568.2-E will revise ANSI/TIA-568.2-D and correct known errors as well as update nomenclature and any general needed updates will be made.
ANSI/TIA-568.5.1 will correct the error of the incompatibility between the channel and cable PSAFEXT specifications and correct any other errors that may be found. The scope may include the addition of a test method for UTP 1-pr cable. Additions of features and classes will not be included in the scope.
