Arlington, VA (July 19, 2017) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, ANSI/TIA-5048 Automated Infrastructure Management (AIM) Systems – Requirements, Data Exchange and Applications. The standard specifies the requirements and recommendations for the attributes of automated infrastructure management (AIM) systems and aligns with ISO/IEC 18598 addressing AIM systems.
ANSI/TIA-5048 was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-42 Telecommunications Cabling Systems, TR-42.6 Telecommunications Infrastructure and Equipment Administration subcommittee.
TIA actively seeks participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
