TIA Issues Call for Interest on New Project For FOTP-25 Impact Testing of Optical Fiber Cables
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation
Arlington VA. (January 4, 2024) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.12 Engineering Committee on Optical Fiber and Cables has issued a call for interest for document TIA-455-25-D initially titled ” FOTP-25 Impact Testing of Optical Fiber Cables”. TR-42.12 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: FOTP 25 existing test procedure is being revised to harmonize with international test method.
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Telecom, Optical Fiber Manufacturers, Developers and Users.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
