TIA Issues Call for Interest on New Project For Fiber Optic Connector Intermateability Standard – Type LC
Arlington, VA (March 12, 2024) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.13 Engineering Committee on Passive Optical Device and Fiber Optic Metrology has issued a call for interest for document TIA-604-10-D initially titled “Fiber Optic Connector Intermateability Standard – Type LC”.
TR-42.13 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: Revise ANSI/TIA-604-10-C to add dual duplex LC belly-to-belly pitch and latch dimension specifications as informative annex for active device receptacle.
Stakeholders are invited to contact TIA regarding participation in the development of this and other TIA standards. The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: End-users, installers, designers of optical fiber cabling systems, QSFP-DD MSA, OSFP MSA, IEC SC86B USNC, ISO/IEC JTC1 SC25/WG3 USNC, INCITS Fiber Channel T11.2, IEEE 802.3.
TIA is seeking broad input as per the public review announcement in ANSI’s Standards Action for directly and materially affected parties. In addition, we are actively seeking participation in this process from the user and general interest communities.
