TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Balanced Twisted-Pair Telecommunications Cabling and Components Standard

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (October 13, 2022) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.7 Engineering Committee on Telecommunications Cooper Cabling Systems has issued a call for interest for document TIA-568.2-E initially titled “Balanced Twisted-Pair Telecommunications Cabling and Components Standard “. TR-42.7 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: ” This project will create ANSI/TIA-568.2-E, revision of ANSI/TIA-568.2-D.  Known errors will be corrected, nomenclature will be updated, and any general needed updates will be made.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Cable and connector manufacturers, end users, system developers, installers, consultants. Field tester manufacturers and users.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
