TIA Issues Call for Interest on New Project For Applications Supported by ANSI/TIA-568 Cabling
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation
Arlington VA. (August 31, 2023) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.1 Engineering Committee on Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure has issued a call for interest for document TSB-6000 initially titled “Applications Supported by ANSI/TIA-568 Cabling Standard”. TR-42.1 is developing guidelines in the area defined by the following scope: This document will list the communication protocol applications that are supported by the various copper and fiber systems specified in the ANSI/TIA-568 series of standards.
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: IEEE, Fibre Channel, ITU, end users, customers, installers, consultants.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
