TIA Issues a Ballot and Public Review Notification to Reaffirm TIA-526-28, Adoption of IEC 61280-4-5:2020 Fiber-optic Communication Subsystem Test Procedures – Part 4-5: Installed Cabling Plant – Attenuation measurement of MPO Terminated Fiber-optic Cabling Plant Using Test Equipment with MPO Interfaces
Arlington VA. (February 28, 2025) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.11 Engineering Committee on Optical Systems has issued a ballot and call for comments to reaffirm document ANSI/TIA-526-28 initially titled “, Adoption of IEC 61280-4-5:2020 Fiber-optic Communication Subsystem Test Procedures – Part 4-5: Installed Cabling Plant – Attenuation measurement of MPO Terminated Fiber-optic Cabling Plant Using Test Equipment with MPO Interfaces”.
TIA is seeking broad input as per the public review announcement in ANSI’s Standards Action for directly and materially affected parties. In addition, we are actively seeking participation in this process from the user and general interest communities.
