Arlington VA (May 29, 2024) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-42.13 Engineering Committee on Passive Optical Devices and Fiber Optic Metrology has issued a ballot and call for comments on document TIA-623.31 initially titled “Adoption of IEC 61755-3-31: Fiber Optic Interconnecting Devices and Passive Components – Connector Optical Interfaces – Part 3-31: Connector Parameters of Non-dispersion Shifted Single Mode Physically Contacting Fibers – Angled Polyphenylene Sulfide Rectangular Ferrules as ANSI/TIA 623.31”.
TIA is seeking broad input as per the public review announcement in ANSI’s Standards Action for directly and materially affected parties. In addition, we are actively seeking participation in this process from the user and general interest communities.
