TIA Comments on Today’s House Energy & Commerce Broadband Hearing

Arlington, Va. (February 11, 2016) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today commented on the House Energy & Commerce Communications and Technology Subcommittee’s consideration of broadband legislation.

TIA CEO Scott Belcher issued the following statement:

“These are challenging issues and we applaud members of the subcommittee for their commitment to trying to craft legislation that can win votes on both sides of the aisle. Title II regulation is a significant concern for the businesses that are driving the innovation and infrastructure development needed for modern broadband networks. To address this, we strongly support, and believe the committee will be able to achieve, a resolution that is both comprehensive and bipartisan.”
