LEO satellite constellations are enjoying a renaissance thanks in part to breakthroughs in reusable launch vehicles, smallsats and wireless communication technology. The growing list of market entrants share an interest in a vibrant sector, fueled by predictably favorable economics, competition and cooperation in areas that benefit both the sector and society.

The Telecommunications Industry Association’s TR-34 Standards Engineering Committee on Satellite Equipment and Systems, in conjunction with Arlington County Virginia and Com Sovereign Corp., is offering a roundtable gathering to promote a Chatham House Rules discussion of topics of common interest to LEO ecosystem members.

TOPICS TO DISCUSS:

  • Role of standards in major LEO services procurement
  • Latest updates of major LEO constellations and the state of the satellite industry
  • Kessler syndrome and space debris considerations
  • New uses for LEO platforms in IoT, connected vehicles and drones; and more.
